Out and About

It isn't the prettiest park around but you can't go past  a park called "Anniversary Park" when it is your anniversary. Right? This was at the tail end of a bit of a tiring day hence the less than enthusiastic grins.

The four of us spent a lovely day around Scone and Muswellbrook. A little bit of op-shopping (I bought some wonderful cards), bushwalking and having a leisurely lunch out.

I'm glad we did this walk in winter because it would be hard work in the heat of summer. The trip back down the hill is a cinch though.

More friendly wildlife. LOts of birds, kangaroos and wallabies on this walk and the odd cow too.

Now I'm going to stay at home for days and days.

Just one hour and 15 mins away from me!! I used to teach in Scone and David lived in Branxton...I know exactly how long it takes to get there..used to count down the seconds till I was back with him again.
Happy anniversary. Lovely photos.

What a wonderful way to spend a special day. It is years since Mick and I went up there. Does it still have the strong sulphur smell? I agree winter is a better time for the climb.
