I've been away to the beach. Just a couple of days while we are temporary empty nesters (Hope is on a school camp). Oh how lovely it was to be switched off for a few days. And how lovely to go to the beach and swim in the sea.
And how lovely to see some rain after 7 weeks of not a drop. It is dry and brown at home but once we crossed the mountains, oh the green grass. It still exists.
What a good thing to be able to switch off, take a little break and reinvigorate the spirit.
I'm sure it has boosted my energy levels and I'm feeling ready for anything. Hope that feeling lasts.

It is nice to get away and have a break. Energizes the body and mind. New things not the same old. Glad you had a great time.
lucky you......if only a green destination was not so far away...........
and you sound upbeat in your post.........it sure worked for you.......
Glad you had a great time! You sound all rested and relaxed! xx
Lovely for you to have a break away...seeing the green grass makes you feel so much better doesn't it!! And to swim in the sea...that is wonderful. Is fantastic to hear you sounding more happy. xx
A dip in the sea, does wonders for the soul x
Glad to hear that you had a break by the sea and you feel rested and relaxed. I received your card today. It was a lovely surprise. Thank you very much. Hope you continue to feel energised.
We've had a few showers of rain lately and its amazing how our lawns greened up so quickly after being browned off.
A trip to the coast is always a good thing, in my mind. I like to just sit and watch waves roll in, birds flying about or bobbing on the ocean...
Oh, that last photo! Seven weeks is such a long time for dryness. I'm glad you had this treat, though.
Love the pics! enjoy your little break.
Really good to hear that you've had a much needed tonic and well deserved break. Hold on to that feeling for a while. xxx
as we were walking on the beach the other day I grumbled a bit about the fact that it was high tide and we were forced to walk on a rather sloping area. then I pulled myself up short and began to give thanks that we live so close to the beach than we can wlak on it every day!
I know what you mean, having just returned from hols. I hope you are getting some rain from the storms round. We have received 35 mm over the last couple of days. A big storm this arvo. Very welcome, as our poor garden suffered while we were away.
