I almost forgot it was Garden Share Collective day today. It's the first Monday of the month and I feel like it is Sunday. Actually I feel like there have been three Sundays this weekend.

What I'm not harvesting yet. The pumpkins are hanging on. I have had a few that the rabbits tried to make their own. The Hubbard last night became soup and was nice but could have benefited from longer on the vine and in the sun. I wasn't wasting it though or letting the rabbits have it.
Planting: I have seedlings of brassicas to go in the ground- broccoli, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts...
My list for April is:
- broad beans
- beetroot
- cabbage
- chives
- leafy greens
- Asian greens
- rocket
- snow peas
- peas
- turnip
- onion
To do:
- blood and bone spread around to deter rabbits (have to do that this afternoon)
- weeding
- composting
- planting
- enjoy my space
If you've read this far, you get to see the girl behind the garden. Me. Thanks to Hope for taking this picture of me while her and her sister watched me work. That's what they do mostly. That and chatter away about this and that and nothing in particular and I'm happy for their company.
The Garden Share Collective is organised by Lizzie from Strayed from the Table. There are always plenty of vegetable gardens to inspire if you would like to click on over. Or you could add your garden to the list too.

Lots of lovely produce from your garden, thanks for sharing.
Oh, hello there. Nice to have a pic. Whilst im admiring your herb garden i am in awe of the background view. How beautiful. Lucky you. Down south my pumpkins are hanging around (literally over the edge of my raised beds) hoping to ripen a little more. Funny how children love to hang around but not offer to help.

Hi Tracy, Its lovely to get to "see" you! So busy at your place with all the garden love! Looks like you also made progress for FNWF - I've only just blogged mine early this morning before I head to work!! I may have to pick your brains a bit about the bees and keeping hives depending on a few possibilities that may be happening
hugs sharm
How nice to be still harvesting lots of veg. My zucchini machines have just about run out of puff. Love the pic of the finger lime. Wow! I didn't know that blood & bone would deter rabbits.
Oooh a finger lime tree! My boss brought in some fruit from her tree and I really want to grow one now, those little pops of lime - delicious! You have a lovely garden. I need to get better before next month and the next garden share!
I love company in the garden, it makes weeding so much more fun, you can catch up on all the gossip. Hasn't the weather been strange. As I type it is finally cold - yes it is probably under 20'c. I too have missed out on pumpkins thanks to four legged creatures. Can't wait to stop by again next month.
What a great list of produce you have been harvesting! I am very jealous of that gorgeous Finger Lime as my plant is still to small to produce any fruit. Have a great month in the garden.
