FNwF- what I did

I made a couple of trips to town on Friday. Toing and froing are not my ideal so I was extra glad to spend Friday night stitching away with friends. I don't mind a bit of music or television on in the background while I sew. This week I had a couple of DVDs from the library that I was keen to watch.

I can't show you the sewing I did because it is top secret for the time being. It did involve some or maybe even all of these fabrics. Very pretty.

I also got a start on a bag I've been meaning to make. I have an excess of scrappy lengths of yarn and Lucy's bag is just right to use some up. My bag won't be the bright, chunky masterpiece that Lucy's is but I am using what I have and that's a good thing. 8ply and a smaller hook size but it's still coming together quickly. That's what I like about crochet.

Now I'm off to check out some of the other Friday night sewing friends.

Love your crochet! The colours are gorgeous and your stitches so neat. It's great to use up scraps be it fabric or wool. That's a gorgeous bundle of fabrics you have there too. Wonder what you are making? Have fun.....

The fabrics are pretty, so I'm sure your secret stitching will be lovely. Have fun with Lucy's pattern. They are all wonderful. It will be good to put your own twist on it.
