June 1

A new month seems like as good a time as any to reboot my writing here. I keep meaning to write and just never get to it. Maybe this time.

Life has been running smoothly for the most part with all the usual goings on.

Winter has arrived with some very cold weather after the long, hot, dry summer. I am glad I gathered in all of the basil and chillies last week before the severe frosts hit. Still there is plenty to do in the garden as always.

I have a little bit of craft to keep me busy. I joined Cheryll's Christmas in July swap and am keen to get stitching for my swap partner. It has been quite a while since I've been in a sewing swap. Fun times. I think I have settled on what I'll make so now to get cracking.

That's all for today,
Tracy xo

I'm glad to see the cooler weather too. Referencing your previous post, can you put the potato sacks into a hole in the ground? This would help insulate them from summer heat and still contain the potatoes so they don't "travel". We once had a potato plant send roots right throughout the compost heap, a couple of metres in all directions. The spuds were fabulous.

It's good to see you blogging again as I know that you're always busy on the land and doing other activities. All the best with everything. Enjoy your sewing and keeping connected with others through the swap.

Hi there stranger! It’s good to see you here again. They were nasty frosts last week. We were in a Glen Innes and had a beauty - but fortunately we were not there for their worst one. Thankfully, they haven’t been too bad here yet, although they did have a little snow while we were away. The weather is ideal for hunkering down and getting that Christmas stitching done. Enjoy.
